Megadeth - The World Needs a Hero is an album by Megadeth released in May 15, 2001 by Sanctuary Records. After several previous commercial releases Megadeth finally came back to the ground of heavy metal style. This was obviously a welcome return. Alhough "Megadeth - The World Needs a Hero" was not exactly what the fans hoped for, it was cordially accepted. Megadeth - The World Needs a Hero was also set to sell at wal-mart which increased its selling rate. Megadeth - The World Needs a Hero was featured by Dave Mustaine, Al Pitrelli, David Ellefson and Jimmy DeGrasso.
